Tom McMullan

Our family was introduced to the funeral service by John James McMullan 1925-1980 father of the present principal he became a qualified member of the British Institute of Embalmers in 1959 and served for two years as North West Division Chairman of the Institute in the late 1970s. He devoted a great deal of his time encouraging education within the profession through the divisions education committee, and he also taught students who went on to receive the M.B.I.E qualification.

Thomas McMullan Funeral Service was carried on by Tom McMullan M.B.I.E. and Christine McMullan who took over the Valley Lodge formerly a doctors residence and surgery which was built in 1860 by Dublin born architect William A Richardson the Borough Surveyor. We have tried to transform the building into one of the most outstanding Funeral Homes on the Wirral, whilst still retaining its original character.

With a family orientated approach, Tom and the team work hard to ensure that we continue to deliver outstanding levels of service to every family they serve in Birkenhead and the surrounding areas.
